Details: Do you love food? If yes, then make sure you mark your calendar and get ready to buy tickets. We say tickets; because this is an event you will want to invite all your food loving friends to. If you love trying new and different types of food then this is the place you want to be.
Vendors and Food: With what seems like an unlimited amount of vendors there’s a little bit of everything for the palette (think ice ream, cocktails, prepared dishes on site) and a wide variety of amazing artisans throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Add a DJ, plus sips and samples, and well – how could it not be a great time?!
Tickets: Tickets are sold online and they offer three different types of tickets, which also means a varied price range. There’s a VIP ticket that’s from 10-11 a.m., early admission that’s from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and general admission that’s from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Make sure you check out the tickets online and see what each ticket offers before purchasing. It is advised that you buy tickets online, because tickets at the door are sold based on availability.

#2 Decanter Wine & Race Festival – April 8, 2017 (12-6p.m.)
Details: Dress to impress (there is a contest for men and women) and get ready to spend a day tasting wines, and betting on horses at Laurel Park Race Course!
Vendors and Food: Enjoy selections of over 100 different types of wine (from 23 wineries across the great state of Maryland.) There will also be food and craft vendors, and what wine tasting event wouldn’t be complete without live music!
Tickets: There are three ticket types offered for this event, the Decanter pass, general admission and designated driver/youth. The Decanter pass will not only let you taste wine from all 23 wineries that will be there, but you will get a glass and a little extra wine plus get to taste exclusive wines from each winery.
Tip: Buy tickets online and save money, tickets are more expensive at the door.

Vendors and Food: There are over 100 vendors with specialty foods; from lump crab cakes, fresh produce, candy, baked goods, to seafood and delicacies that span the globe. So whether you are looking to sit down for a delicious meal prepared for you, or purchase some groceries to take home, Lexington Market is one of the best places to go in Baltimore for incredible food.

Details: If you love Jazz & the Blues, this festival may be perfect for you! This kid-friendly and free to the public festival includes delicious food & activities throughout the entire day.

#6 Charm City Folk & Bluegrass Festival – April 29, 2017
Details: The Charm City Folk & Bluegrass Festival is an annual event that is hosted at Druid Hill Park. With various food vendors to choose from, live performances and Union Craft Beer returning as the beer of choice for the festival. What’s not to enjoy? There is a quite a lineup for this event; including but not limited to: Steep Canyon Rangers, Sierra Hull, and more!
Parking: For this event there will be parking available for $10 but public transportation is recommended.
Tickets: There are general admission tickets as well as VIP tickets sold at different prices depending on what you prefer or want to get the most out of. The VIP does offer a lot of great perks like unlimited beer from Union Craft beer and exclusive access. There is also an after party ticket available if you want to keep partying the night away. Make sure you take a look at their site and ticket prices before you go, keep in mind that certain level of tickets are already sold out so if you plan on going head over to their site and purchase your tickets as soon as possible.

#7 Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School – Night Climb Event -TBD
Details: Zip lining, climbing, and hiking is the focus of this amazing park in Baltimore. If you love having fun in the great outdoors this place is an absolute must in the Spring before the weather gets too warm. Enjoy the largest man-made outdoor climbing adventure in the world! There is something here for everyone, and they have even color-coded trails from beginner to advanced. 13 trails, 29 zip lines, and 200 challenging bridges…
Tickets: Ticket prices vary depending on which activities you would like to join but you can book online.
Bonus: How cool would a night climb be surrounded by glow sticks, laser lights, a fire, and of course some rocking music? Find out for yourself on April 15, 2016!
#8 Six Flags America – All Season
Details: Are you a thrill seeker? Do you love to test your limits? Then you already know you want to head over to Six Flags America to please your inner daredevil. There’s nothing more exciting than your heart racing, air hitting your face and screaming your lungs out. You do it for the thrill, the adrenaline rush it gives you.
What’s new: Although you may know all of the rides at Six Flags America, there’s always something new brewing so when you go there this spring/summer there will be a new ride to try. It will be the first of it’s kind, and it will be a first ever virtual reality roller coaster called the “Superman Ride of Steel.” So what’s so special about this ride? Well it’s like any other roller coaster except for the fact that people will have the option to ride it with Samsung’s VR headset to implement a virtual reality effect while you ride. Talk about innovative.

#9 FlowerMart 2016 – May 5 & 6, 2017
Details: There’s nothing we love more than something that is free and the FlowerMart 2016 is a FREE festival that anyone can attend. With live entertainment, food, flowers, and prizes to win it’s definitely worth checking out. Think of this as a family outing event, you get to spend time together while being outside and enjoying all that the FlowerMart festival has to offer.
Activities & More: If you want to know what type of entertainment will be there, just head over to their site and click on entertainment and there will be a list of what is expected this year as far as entertainment goes. There will also be contests at the FlowerMart festival so if you want to take part in one of them check out which ones they have. So make plans, mark your calendar and make it a fun family day!
#10 Prince William Forest
Details: Prince William Forest is an oasis just outside of our beautiful “Charm City.” Less than a 2 hour drive outside of Baltimore is a beautiful forest that allows you to get back in touch with nature. Enjoy over 15,000 acres with access to hiking, biking, and trails of all kinds. You can even visit the visitor center for a map to enjoy the back woods and explore on your own. For those of you who want to make a weekend of your adventure you can even set up camp; bring your tent or reserve one of the cabins they have available.
