Fall 2016’s Must-Watch Premieres
Goodbye humidity and hello cozy nights on the sofa. Plan a few dates with your couch because it’s time for a new season of the hottest shows on TV. With so many new and returning shows, it’s hard to keep track of all the TV premiere dates. That’s why we put together this list of the most anticipated must-watch premieres of fall 2016. New to TV 2016:
Designated Survivor (ABC)
Premieres Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10 PM
Kiefer Sutherland’s back in an all-new action drama where he stars as Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member, suddenly appointed President of the United States after an attack on the Capitol during the State of the Union. Kirkman will struggle to keep the country and his family from falling apart, while navigating the political arena and leading the search to find who is responsible for the attack.

Premieres Thursday, Sept 22 PM
The dramatic and inspirational story of a young pitcher who becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball! Kylie Bunbury plays Ginny Baker, a beautiful, tough and gifted athlete thrown into instant fame as she’s called up by the San Diego Padres to make her Major League debut.
MacGyver (CBS) Premieres Friday, Sept. 23 at 8 PM
This classic, turned reboot stars Lucas Till as Angus “Mac” MacGyver. The new take on the series will rewind to the beginning of MacGyver’s career as the government’s new, top-secret weapon as he uses his talent for unconventional problem solving and scientific knowledge to save lives.
The Exorcist (FOX) Premieres Friday, Sept. 23 at 9 PM
Another reboot, same date, different network, staring Geena Davis. Davis plays Angela, the matriarch of the Rance family. But, this family has a bunch of problems, including a dad losing his mind, a daughter becoming a hermit, and of course, an evil spirit in their house.
Marvel’s Luke Cage (Netflix) Premieres: Friday, Sept. 30
The next phase of the Netflix’s Marvel Universe stars Mike Colter as Luke Cage. Find out how the unbreakable man got his powers and watch Alfre Woodard, Mahershala Ali and Theo Rossi star as Luke’s snakelike foes as he finds himself embroiled in a civil war between the gangsters who run the neighborhood. Luke reluctantly takes up the mantle as Harlem’s protector when he realizes that only someone bulletproof can protect people from the forces that want to tear it apart.
Westworld (HBO) Premieres Sunday, Oct. 2 at 9 PM
This drama series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Combining the near future with a reimagined past, Westworld explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.
Insecure (HBO) Premieres, Sunday, Oct. 9 at 10:30 PM
The half-hour comedy series starring Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis and Lisa Joyce, follows two friends navigating the tricky professional and personal terrain of L.A.
